Icelandic-Chinese painter
Eirdís Ragnarsdóttir
Intuitive psychological landscapes inspired by dreams, emotion and the subconscious.
The West taught me to search for myself; the East taught me there’s no fixed self to find. My paintings live in that contradiction, dissolving and flowing like water in and out of different narratives, emotions and internal landscapes, always becoming.
Fragmented faces, emotional landscapes and dreamlike symbols exploring identity, transformation and the worlds we carry within.

What began as a search for self gradually became a search for something beyond the self. Through dreams, emotion and memory, I explore the inner worlds that connect us all.
